Conscious film night in Blackpool

The first ever conscious film night at the refurbished vintage cinema, The Regent in Blackpool with cacao hot chocolate, Sicilian orange oil and hemp milk, amazing vegan cake by Kate from Blackpaper UK and films to bring awareness about our world.

We will be showing Before the flood, from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and Academy Award-winning
actor, environmental activist and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio,
Before the Flood presents a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change, as well as the actions we as individuals and as a society can take to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet. The film follows DiCaprio as he travels to five continents and the Arctic speaking to scientists, world leaders, activists and local residents to gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue and
investigate concrete solutions to the most pressing environmental challenge of our time. Film is shown at 7.30, please be seated before then.

There will also be a brief history of the Regent cinema which originally opened in 1921 by Linda from Actitout, find out about the fascinating history of this amazing building.

Tickets are £10 each, this includes a drink and cake and entry into a prize draw to win an original rainbow positivity artwork by myself, winner drawn at the end of the night.
Under 12’s are free and welcome at the discrection of their parents. (Drinks not included)
