Inspiring lives – Anita Kaiser

I am so pleased to bring you another inspiring,

alternative life interview, introducing Anita Kaiser.

Please tell our readers a little about your life, where are you currently living, what you do?

These days I live in Hamilton Ontario which is the known as the City of Waterfalls but also has quite a gritty side having come up as a Steel Town.  I’m a yoga teacher, Reiki healer, as well and Business/Life Coach.  I’m a big believer in the things that hold you back in life will also hold you back in business if you don’t clear them.  We all came to this place to live in joy and instead we so often hold ourselves in that space of not good enough.  I like to help people lessen that energy and more into a freer, happier, easier place.  In my coaching I tend to pull from all sorts of training to create this shift.  I’m also a bit of super foods pusher because I know what a difference that has made in my life and the life of my family.

How to enjoy life

How to enjoy life, a basic guide written especially for you.

www.nakedwildandfree.comBe grateful;

Gratitude is the biggest part of a life well lived. We need to be grateful for all the things we have now and stop living in a mind of lack or thinking when I am rich/have a bigger house/fall in love etc I will be happy and grateful.

When I wake up in the morning I am thankful I am alive, I am grateful I am breathing – how amazing are our lungs!. I am grateful for the warm bed and cosy blankets that have supported me all night, think of all the homeless people who last night slept outside in the cold. I am grateful for my feet and legs which take me to the bathroom, imagine how many amputees would give anything to walk again with ease!. I am grateful for my bladder that is has held my urine all night, think of all the folks who are incontinent. I am grateful for the awesome plumbing and toilet I am using, how miraculous that we have indoor toilets that actually flush our waste away. I am grateful for the hot water coming out of a tap, think of all those people who walk miles each day to collect water, or those who have to drink water from puddles and in contaminated rivers. I smile at myself in the mirror and am thankful I love myself, I am grateful for my hair, my face and my freckles that make me different from anyone else, how amazing that every single one of us is totally unique.

All of this gratitude and I haven’t even made it downstairs yet. So there is always something, right now you can be thankful for.

Look around you, what are you grateful for?

Start a gratitude journal and spend a few moments each day listing things you are grateful for. If you write 10 things a day that you are grateful for, that’s 70 things by the end of the week, 3,640 each year, if you did that for 20

years you would have 72,800 things to be grateful for!

Energy boosting Raspberry & cacao smoothie

When you get that afternoon slump instead of grabbing a bar of chocolate blend up an energy boosting smoothie, if you go out to work, make it in the morning and take it with you just make sure you keep it chilled at work. Simple to make and tastes like velvet, you will get a buzz from the cacao and baobab which will last a lot longer than a bar of chocolate.

Balance your chakras with food

This is really interesting and something I hadn’t thought of before, recharging your main chakras with food, but it really makes sense when you think about it, I found this on Soul and Spirit magazine today and thought I would share the article on here:

Did you know that you can recharge your main chakras with food? Here’s what you should be tucking into to balance those vibrations…

1. Root chakra

Located at the perineum at the base of your spine, your root chakra is closest to the earth. Its function is concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival, and is linked to your legs, feet, bones and large intestine. It also controls your ‘fight or flight’ response. To give it a boost, opt for grounding root vegetables such as beetroot, carrot, garlic, ginger, turnips, potatoes and parsnips to bring you back to Mother Nature.

STOP living in fear.

Stop living in fear.

Send out peace and love. Not just to one country but to all countries, not to one type of people but to all people, not to favour one religion but to all religions, not to who is right or wrong, not to who is poor or rich but to everyone no matter what their circumstances. There are many bad things happening everyday all over the planet, the media only seem to report on the ones they choose to, the ones that have a hidden agenda, we are all humans, we are all living in this world, not matter what colour our skin, no matter where in the world we live, no matter what language we speak, no matter how we die or what or who killed us, we all have families, mums, dads, brothers, sisters, children that will miss us. If everyone put down their weapons, if everyone woke up tomorrow and agreed to love and help each other, war wouldn’t exist. The greed, the governments and the elite few who want us to be puppets and hate, are the only ones gaining from these disasters and war.

How to spot a sign from the universe

hippie-quotes

Have you heard people asking the universe for a sign?, do you wonder what its all about, do you know how to ‘see’ a sign from the universe? I truly believe in signs and that energies and vibrations can allign and they help us go on our right path, I quit my ‘real’ job after asking the universe for a sign, becuse even though the money was good, I didn’t feel fulfilled. That morning on my way to work (I was a resort ambassador) I really didn’t know what to do for the best so asked for a sign, after the briefing at our office we went out into pairs to walk around the town, there was a man with long grey hair, a bit shabby, shouting how Blackpool is the pit of despair, its full of whores and sinners, he intrigued me so much to the horror of my colleague I went over to talk to him (in full ambassador uniform) he stepped back away from me and was very wary, I asked why he thought Blackpool was so bad and where he lived, he was cagey at first ( I think the uniform put him off) and I said I meant him no harm and he wasn’t in trouble, I just wanted to talk to him. He opened up and we started having a chat, then he did a double blink, looked me up and down and said “you don’t belong in that uniform, what do you think your doing?, you know that your light shines from within, the lights on the front (illuminations) are giving false happiness, you know this town is trying to sell happiness masked as all the attractions and bright lights, you know this is wrong” (he was spot on) I thanks him and asked his name (my mind thinking it would be something profound like Ezekiel) he said it was Tony! I told him he was my sign from the universe and walked away, knowing right then that was the day I would quit.

Totnes sustainability town

totnes_castle_2012                                                                                                               Link to photo source

I was looking into the idea of transition towns and places like Lewes that have their own currency and found this great article on The Guardian:

Totnes is an ancient market town on the mouth of the river Dart in Devon. It has the well- preserved shell of a motte-and-bailey castle, an Elizabethan butterwalk and a steep high street featuring many charming gift shops. All of which makes it catnip to tourists. A person might initially be lulled into the belief that this was somewhere with as much cultural punch as, say, Winchester.

The energy and healing power of trees

I love the energy from trees, in a nearby woodland I have a favourite sycamore tree, its strong and powerful and is surrounded by bluebells, I close my eyes and feel the bark with my hands, feet firmly placed on the floor I imagine the energy coming from the tree through my hands and body, down through my feet into the ground where it connects with the roots and goes back into the tree. This is a great little meditation to do, you can literally feel the stress drain out of your body.

Feed your chakras

Have you heard of chakras? No it’s not some indian dish or a musical instrument!

Chakra is an ancient Sanskrit work meaning wheel. A chakra spins around like a wheel and draws in anything it encounters on a vibratory level.

There are 7 or 9 depending on who you ask, chakras in your body, they are colour coordinated to match the different area of your body. A chakra is an energy center that governs all your organs, they work separately on specific areas and also work together as a whole. Each chakra works on physical, spiritual, mental and emotional levels. Each chakra also has its own colour and a specific area it targets.
