Balance your chakras with food

This is really interesting and something I hadn’t thought of before, recharging your main chakras with food, but it really makes sense when you think about it, I found this on Soul and Spirit magazine today and thought I would share the article on here:

Did you know that you can recharge your main chakras with food? Here’s what you should be tucking into to balance those vibrations…

1. Root chakra

Located at the perineum at the base of your spine, your root chakra is closest to the earth. Its function is concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival, and is linked to your legs, feet, bones and large intestine. It also controls your ‘fight or flight’ response. To give it a boost, opt for grounding root vegetables such as beetroot, carrot, garlic, ginger, turnips, potatoes and parsnips to bring you back to Mother Nature.

Negativity be gone! How to make sage smudge sticks

Witches kitchen

Today is all about the herbs, gathered from my allotment I have been making sage smudge sticks, putting the dried mint and lemon balm into pots to add to our winter stash and I have been inhaling rosemary to improve my memory and we could all do with some of that! I have also collected some lavender to dry out for baths, lavender bags for christmas presents and to aid a restful nights sleep.

I have used dried sage ( I just hang it in bunches in my kitchen to dry out) for the top 3, the advantages are its ready to use and you don’t have to wait, using fresh sage means you can bind the leaves tighter but you have to hang it up and wait before you can use it which takes longer because its not loose. Re-activate your intuition

Have you ever had a gut feeling, have the hairs on the back of your neck stood up, have you met someone that gave you the chills or walked into a place and it felt uncomfortable? all these feelings are our intuition, its your connection to power that has been forgotten as you get older.

hqdefault                                                                                     Activate crystal clear intuition with this meditation

“As spiritual beings having a human experience, we are all born with the gift of intuition; it is our birthright. As babies and young children, we are accepting of our intuitive abilities, recognizing our “sixth sense” to be just as common and matter of fact as our five physical senses. It isn’t until we start to grow up and out of our soul, knowing and identifying more with this world and our mind-thinking, that we lose touch with this innate power.

Feed your chakras

Have you heard of chakras? No it’s not some indian dish or a musical instrument!

Chakra is an ancient Sanskrit work meaning wheel. A chakra spins around like a wheel and draws in anything it encounters on a vibratory level.

There are 7 or 9 depending on who you ask, chakras in your body, they are colour coordinated to match the different area of your body. A chakra is an energy center that governs all your organs, they work separately on specific areas and also work together as a whole. Each chakra works on physical, spiritual, mental and emotional levels. Each chakra also has its own colour and a specific area it targets.
